Professional Supervision & Consultation
We all get 'stuck' sometimes, and unsure how to best support a child or young person in our care... Professional supervision and/or consultation could be the key to helping you and those you are supporting move forward with learning.
Consultation
Psychological Consultation for Families and Professionals
Psychological consultation aims to find 'the difference that makes a difference' (Bateson, 1972). This could be what is needed to help you achieve a promotion despite your struggles with written expression, or what your child needs to achieve her GCSEs despite difficulties with numeracy, or what a pupil in your class needs to meet that outcome they've been working towards all term.
Whatever the barrier, psychological consultation with an accredited supervisor could be what you need to move forward.
Feel free to get in touch for a no-obligations chat about how consultation could help you.
Professional Supervision
Supervision for Professionals
Professional supervision aims to build the capacity of professionals to respond to the needs of their clients and service users.
Some of the many professionals who can benefit from supervision include:
-
Trainee Psychologists
-
Practitioner Psychologists
-
Counsellors and Therapists
-
Mental Health Practitioners
-
Teachers (including Head Teachers and SENCos)
-
Social Workers
-
And many more
I am experienced and skilled at providing supervision to other professionals - both individually and in groups. I have undertaken additional training and development in approaches to professional supervision and I am on the BPS's Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors (RAPPS).
If you would be interested in learning how I could help you as a supervisor, please get in touch.
